Introducing the new Virgin Mobile Freestyle tariffs

By Steven Hawthorn on 23/01/15

Virgin Media has brought in a new set of tariffs to give customers greater benefits and more value from their pay monthly deal.

Each Freestyle tariff includes an allowance of minutes, texts and data, but the difference is that your new phone and your price plan are separated.

Usually, when you set up a pay monthly contract with a new phone, you are essentially covering the cost of the mobile over the duration of the plan. Your total monthly fee you pay is both the tariff and the smartphone

As Virgin Media is splitting the two, it means that you have the freedom to upgrade to a new phone at any time by just paying off the outstanding balance on the original one.

Equally, you can stick with the phone that came with the deal, and once it is paid off after 24 months your total monthly cost will decrease, because you will only be paying for the tariff.

As the plan is separate as well, you can upgrade or downgrade the tariff so you get the ideal amount of minutes and data.

Every tariff offers unlimited texts each month, whilst the basic plan gives you 250 minutes and 250MB of data, and the most comprehensive one includes unlimited data and unlimited calls.

If you choose a Freestyle tariff and are already a Virgin Media customer, you’ll also get unlimited calls to other Virgin Mobile phones, and a £5 saving.

Check out the new Virgin Mobile phone deals, which include some of the latest and most popular smartphones on the market, such as the impressive Samsung Galaxy S5 from just £25.
