Apple confirms iPad 4 128GB storage
Apple’s iPad 4 is getting the 128GB storage treatment, and will be released to buy from Tuesday 5 February.
The doubled storage is designed to appeal to businesses using large amounts of data, which can come as a result of processing 3D CAD files, X-rays, film edits, music tracks and project blueprints.
Philip Schiller, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing at Apple said: “With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.”
“With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs.”
The new iPad 4 will boast a 9.7-inch Retina display, Apple’s A6X chip, FaceTime HD camera and the new iOS 6.1.
Prices are expected to be around £639 in the UK for the iPad with Wi-Fi, and around £739 for the iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular.
